Labtium can provide testing with appropriate equipment and methods, together with qualified personnel, for evaluation of archiving quality of paper and printed documents used for publications and documents which are to be permanently archived.

The permanence and durability of writing, printing and copying on paper are essential properties for archiving of recordings on paper. Requirements and testing methods for those papers are specified in the international standards ISO 9706 and ISO 11108 together with national standard SFS 5453.

The requirements and testing methods for evaluation of the stability of recordings are specified by the international standard ISO 11798. In addition, the documents to be stored for long periods of time should be printed on permanent or archival papers.
