Labtium is one of the leading laboratories in its own field of expertise. Labtium's core competencies are in laboratory analyses, expertise and consulting services of the geology and mining industry, forest industry, process industry, energy industry, environment and process by-products.

Labtium Oy is a subsidiary of VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland's Expert Services Group. Labtium Oy's history and strong competence in geology and mining industry relates to the Geological Survey of Finland's (GTK) laboratories that were set up and commercialized into a private company, Labtium Oy. VTT Expert Services acquired Labtium Oy to strengthen its portfolio of services that now include a globally recognized and leading forest industry and chemical analyses and services relate back to the former KCL Central Laboratory.

Our competent professionals are used to solving the most challenging customer challenges coupled with access to the whole network of other services within VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland's group of professionals. Over the years our company service offering has expanded from geoanalytics to forest, energy, process industry and environmental surveillance and analyses. Our full range of services cover from single laboratory analysis to the outsourcing of laboratory services, training of the laboratory personnel and information systems. All services we provide are based on solid expertise and internationally approved best practises. We also do customized method development for the customer's needs.

Our laboratory was accredited in 1994 (FINAS testing laboratory T025). Our procedures comply with SFS-EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005 and SFS-EN ISO 14001 standards and requirements. In addition, we participate in early national and international comparison measurements, cerification programs and standardization work.
